I am Sofia Constan, a Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School senior in New York City. I was selected to participate in the highly competitive NYU Tisch Future Imagemakers program, where I created a final exhibition exploring the theme of being an artist. My series features portraits of my father in his studio, reflecting on creativity, dedication, and the intimate spaces where art takes shape. Through these portraits, I wanted to capture more than a workspace. I wanted to reveal the quiet moments of concentration, the traces of labor, and the intimacy of a space where ideas become form. This series is both a study of my father as an artist and a reflection of my own search for creative voice.
